We will be offering the following DANCE options in the future:
Hip Hop: Provides a structured method of learning various Hip Hop dance movements in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment, and offers a new set of original combinations and routines each session.
Ballet Lyrical: Incorporates ballet with modern technique and vocabulary. Lyrical dance is exemplified by its use of traditional ballet technique, various jazz styles, and emotional musical connection. Classes consist of center barre as well as choreography that infuses all three genres.
Jazz: Emphasis is placed on body placement and proper technique, stretching and development of skills. Attention is paid to the quality of movement in addition to correct execution and technique.
Tap: Focuses on technique and musicality and supplemented by a wide variety of music genres. Students will also be exposed to both musical theater “Broadway” tap and rhythm tap. Each class includes a warm up, steps across the floor, guided improvisation exercises and a final combination. Tap shoes required.
Stretch/Body Conditioning: Great workout for core stabilization and body awareness. Fine tune your inner energy through body specific movements. Results from this class include abdominal strength, muscular flexibility and enhanced breath control. It also offers great prevention from injuries.
Yogalates: A total body conditioning, this class offers the best of both worlds. Learn to strengthen and tone the body with the core focused movements of Pilates, while receiving the benefits of flexibility that Yoga offers.
Combo classes: Ballet and tap combination classes. Focus is on developing motor skills, coordination, creativity and independent learning through the display of movement and basic dance technique. Classes use a 45-minute format that includes age appropriate warm-up, stretching, barre and center floor. Simple choreography is introduced for this age group to develop skills needed to perform.
Creative Song and Dance: This 75-minute format that incorporates jazz style dance, singing, creative movement and crafts encourage imagination, creativity and play.
